We had featured Ilaria and her small family run business on Dirham Stretcher last year. She used to rely heavily on tourists visiting the old souk, and when she had to close her coffee shop during lockdown, she launched gelato deliveries all over Dubai. We truly admired Ilaria for her determination!

Now Mazmi is back open and the setting on the creek spectacular as ever...

To thank all the Dirham Stretcher members who supported her business by ordering gelato last year, Ilaria decided to gift a scoop of gelato to every Dirham Stretcher child visiting her coffee shop, provided the accompanying adult spent 20 dhs.

I truly think this is the most beautiful terrace on the creek.

There is an indoor space, too.

There are also 3 guest rooms on the 1st floor, officially turning Mazmi casa into the first B&B of the area. Every room has stunning views of the creek. Keep these in mind if visitors ask you where to stay in the old Dubai!

Just in case you're wondering, F&B prices are not horrendous. A cappuccino costs 20 dhs.
